No girls in Dr. Seuss?


Here’s an intriguing article about the almost complete lack of female characters in Dr. Seuss books. You know, I never really noticed that before….

    Isn’t the average age for Dr. Seuss readers all in elementary school. I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t thinking much about gender back then. Not only that, but if I remember my Seuss stories correctly most of his characters were pretty gender nuetral. Matbe it’s just me, but after a generation of people readi n Dr. Suess wonderful stories you are the first one to notice this “enigma” I suggest you lighten up and enjoy or go out and wright your version of Girl World and get on with life.
