I was just looking at my kitchen floor this morning, thinking, GROSS. When my kids were young I never would have let this happen. Now that they’re older [and still messy] and I’m working full time besides trying to be a writer, my house suffers. I try to make the bed and do the laundry but I can’t afford to relegate my best hours to cleaning. Martha would have a heart attack at my house too. That is if she even got up the nerve to step inside.
